With Donavan Brazier's (½ mile Kenowa Hills 2015) last minute entry into next month's Olympic Trials I wonder what other Michigan high school alumni will be in Eugene?
• Steven Bastien (decathlon Saline 2012) • Tia Brooks (shot put East Kentwood 2008) • Andrew Evans (discus Portage Northern 2009) • Brooke Pledger (hammer Saline 2010)

You can find all the entries here--though that doesn't necessarily mean qualified & competing. www.usatf.org/Events---Calendar/2016/U-S--Olympic-Team-Trials---Track---Field/Status-of-Entries.aspxAt some point I want to go through it with a fine-toothed comb. Off the top of my head, I can think of Freddie Crittenden (110H), Andrew Evans (DT), Amanda Eccleston (1500), Erin Finn (10K), Raven Clay (100H), Landria Buckley (400H), Candice Davis Price (100H), Brooke Pleger (HT), Nicole Bush (steeple), Leah O'Connor (steeple), Kendall Baisden (400), Mackenzie Shell (PV)... and there have to be a lot more, but I'm going to bed now...

Just looking at people who have "qualified" next to their name, regardless of declared yet or not-
Kyra Jefferson (200, not declared) Kendall Baisden (400, declared) Donavan Brazier (800, declared) Geena Gall (800, declared) Amanda Eccleston (1500, declared) Erin Finn (5000, scratched, and 10000, scratched) Bridgette Owens (100H, not declared) Candice Price (100H, declared) Raven Clay (100H, not declared) Freddie Crittenden (110H, declared) Landria Buckley (400H, not declared) Leah O'Connor (3000 Steeple, declared) Nicole Bush (3000 Steeple, declared) Sarah Boyle (3000 Steeple, declared) Kristen Hixson (PV, not declared) Tia Brooks (SP, declared) Andrew Evans (Discus, declared) Brooke Pledger (Hammer, declared) Steven Bastien (Decathlon, declared)
There were a few that hadn't quite qualified (Javonte Lipsey, Shannon Osika, Fisher, a couple more), and a few I didn't see on there that I thought I should also.
Too bad Cindy Ofili isn't competing for the US, we'd have quite the Michigan-bred Shuttle Hurdle Relay!
One more name to throw out, who won't be at the trials but will be at Rio- Alex Rose, from Ogemaw Heights/CMU, is competing for Samoa, his father's homeland. I had the pleasure of coaching along side him for a year, great guy, and he's really getting good.
